What NeighborForge is
NeighborForge is a free community effort. We help local people who want work meet local businesses that need people, here in the Mahoning Valley and Columbiana County.
A real person, Carl Zents, reads every form. When there may be a good fit, he makes the introduction himself. We call it a handshake.
It is free
There are no fees. Job seekers do not pay. Employers do not pay.
How it works
- You tell us about you. Fill out the short form for job seekers or for employers. Skip anything you like.
- Carl reaches out. He reads every form and gets in touch himself, usually within a day or two.
- He makes an introduction. When a job seeker and an employer may be a good fit, Carl introduces them. He shares a job seeker's resume or phone and email only if they said that is OK.
- You decide. The employer and the job seeker talk and make their own choices.
What we are not
- Not a staffing agency. We do not place workers or take a cut of anyone's pay.
- Not an employer. We do not hire anyone. If you get a job, you work for that business, not for us.
- Not a job board. We do not post ads, and no computer sorts or scores people. A person reads every form.
What we can and can't promise
We can't promise a job, an interview, or a hire. We can't promise an employer that we will find a candidate.
Employers make their own hiring decisions. Job seekers make their own choices.
What we can promise: a real person will read what you send and do his best to help.
